Tools

Choosing a tool by clicking on its icon means to put the program into a special work mode. Most of Wonderbrush's tools are for creating graphical objects on the active layer. Others are for editing already existing objects (transformation and gradient tools). Then there are tools that deal directly with the canvas (cropping and guides tool) or enable copying data to the system's clipboard.

Undo and Redo

Generally, Wonderbrush remembers every editing step, making it easy to undo or redo changes. The Undo function is most quickly invoked by pressing Z or Y on the keyboard. For Redo the shift key is pressed additionally to Z or Y.

The confirm and abort concept

Many tools use a confirm and abort concept. When an editing process is initiated, the area of the Confirm and Cancel icon is tinted. That area also holds the icons for Undo and Redo, which by the way are only restricted to the current action while the area is tinted. Most of the time only the whole editing step can be reverted after it was applied. This concept siplifies coming quickly back to distinct states of the document.
